The role: Enterprise Search Partner Solutions Engineer, Nordics
When leading companies decide to "go Google,"Â it's a huge win for spreading the power of cloud computing globally. But the Enterprise Sales team can't do it alone. Once educational institutions, government agencies and other businesses sign on to use Google Enterprise products to make their work more productive, mobile and collaborative, you come in. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you assist fellow Sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaison with the Product Marketing Management and Engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Enterprise products.
With Google Search Solutions you can deliver the same technology that powers Google's award-winning search engine to corporations and government agencies in your local market. By putting our technology to work on corporate intranets, extranets and public websites the Google search solutions make it quick and easy to connect employees, partners and customers to the information they need. Partner Solution Engineers have excellent technical, communication and organizational skills. You will work with the Partners, Channel Management, Sales Engineering, and Sales to engage with partners to support and build skills relating to customer qualification, understanding and assessing customer requirements. Partner Solution Engineers create, present, and support demonstrations of Google products while addressing technical questions that arise throughout the sales process. You should be a confident presenter with excellent presentation skills and the ability to persuasively present Google's product offering. In addition, you should feel comfortable working closely with our partners, product, support, engineering, and sales teams.
Responsibilities:
* Engage directly with partners on both technical and non-technical levels to demonstrate the value of Google Enterprise Search Products
* Develop strong credible technical relationships with Channel/Customer personnel
* Take responsibility for technical aspects of solutions to include such activities as supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the co-ordination of supporting technical resources
* Work hands-on with Google's Enterprise Search and Hosted Application products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer/partner environments
* Validate skills of key deployment partners and create a training plan to bridge knowledge gaps (could involve classroom-based training, self-learning modules etc.).
Minimum Qualifications:
* BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related subject. In lieu of a degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience of Channel/Partner Support, Sales Engineering, Technical Management, or similar business services
* Background in and/or knowledge of Enterprise Search Technology (FAST, Autonomy/Verity K2, OmniFind etc.)
* In-depth knowledge of web, XML, and any related technologies and security standards (HTTP, JavaScript, XML, LDAP, SMTP, etc.)
* Knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and troubleshooting/diagnostic tools (eg. DNS, TCP, proxies, DMZ).
* Understanding of enterprise content/document management repository architectures advantageous but not mandatory.
* Native-level fluency in English and fluency in one of the following languages: Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish or Danish.
